Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster - Root Beer Flake, Journeyman Relic
It's unlikely you'll find another one of this exact model anywhere in the world! We convinced the Fender Custom Shop to finish this awesome 1963 Stratocaster in a very rare Root Beer Flake which is one of the coolest sparkle finishes we've ever encountered and is not one of the catalogue finishes offered by the Custom Shop.
There was a virtual online VIP Fender Custom Shop dealer event in early 2021 to replace the cancelled annual 2021 NAMM Show event and as part of our massive orders we decided to request a bunch of 1963 Strats in finishes you wouldn't normally see on a '63 Strat.
This guitar has been lightly aged with the Custom Shop's popular 'Journeyman Relic' treatment and then the back of the neck has been hit with the heavy relic treatment so it feels worn in and super comfortable the way only a Fender Custom Shop heavy relic neck can feel. Then with the hardware we ordered it aged at Closest Classic level - Less ageing to the hardware means longer useful life.
