When Gibson launched the Songwriter line of instruments in 2003 they were an immediate hit, combining the highly musical overtones that come from 1930's-style bracing patterns and combining them with the size of a traditional dreadnought acoustic guitar. The result is a guitar with unbelievable dynamic range.
