Guitar Repairs & Setups
Servicing all makes and models in our pro workshop
Servicing all makes and models in our pro workshop
Let's face it, no matter how good your guitar is it'll never reach it's full potential without a perfect setup. At Guitar Station we've got decades of real-world experience with all brands and styles of guitar.
Perhaps you need a drop-tune setup for a recording session, maybe you need to prepare your bass to go out on tour, or you might simply have just decided to start playing acoustic guitar - we're gonna get the most out of your instrument.
Whether your guitar is brand new or you've had it for years, there's no doubt that if it's not had any professional setup attention recently then you're missing out!
When you've got the kind of clientele that we've got (many of whom have a penchant for vintage instruments) it's important to master the art of a great refret job.
They're not fun but a broken headstock doesn't mean the end of your guitar...It just means you need us to fix it the right way so you can get back to playing!
Installing new pickups? Electronics need some TLC? Whatever guitar wiring task you need doing, we've got you covered and we've got an extensive list of parts and components on hand for the job.
Acoustic guitar tops change shape over time which can result in the glue bond between bridge and body to destabilise. We're geared up to precisely remove and reinstall your bridge.
No doubt about it, we're total guitar geeks here at Guitar Station! We live and breathe this stuff so we're always excited about the opportunity to help you get the most out of your instrument.
Whether it's a basic setup you need, repairs, modifications, re-frets and headstock breaks right through to vintage restorations - We're capable and experienced working on all kinds of electric guitars, basses and acoustic guitars, including precious investment-grade instruments.
STEP 1: Choose a setup
Restring & Clean $55, Service & Adjustment $110, The Ultimate Setup $265
The thing about repairs and mods is that many of them are going to
involve doing something that throws the set-up of your guitar out of
whack…At the very least your guitar strings are going to need to be
replaced because you’re better off paying us to put new ones on your
guitar than paying us for the extra time it takes for us to carefully
remove, preserve and refit the ones already on your guitar while we do
the work!
STEP 2: Estimate job time
Bench charge is $110 per hour, charged in 30-minute increments
Here’s few examples of estimated job times for certain common guitar repairs and modifications:
